About Deliverance Church Donholm
Deliverance Church Donholm was founded on the 10th of June 2007 after several years of prayer and travail under the leadership of Rev. Mathew and Nancy Wambua. The vision to plant the church at Donholm was derived from a heartfelt desire to bring positive transformation to the area by raising a Godly altar where God would be exalted and honoured. This in the end would bring transformation in the lives and hearts of people.
Our DNA as a church is founded on the following principles these are:
- God’s word is our exclusive foundation
- Prayer our constant resource
- Worship our passionate life priority
- Excellence that glorifies God and inspires people
- Integrity our pursuit that honours God
- Fellowship which connects us as the body of Christ
- Christlikeness the defining feature of Gods will for mankind
- Evangelism and discipleship our lifelong commitment
Because of commitment to the vision of a city filled with the presence of God, we have instituted strategic avenues of pursuing that vision. Part of that strategy has been:
Spirit Inspired Weekly Services
Our first avenue for fulfilling our vision has been the weekly Sunday services that have continued to attract people in big numbers. By the grace of God, we have been able to move from two services to three services to accommodate the growth.
Our weekly prayers are normally held on every Tuesday from 6:30 pm and is usually a platform to come together as a family to worship and praise God. This is because prayer is very crucial in ones walk with Christ as from 1 John 5:14 the bible states that Prayer is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.
The Bible Week
As a church, we do a monthly three day marathon bible study that is designed to equip believers with the word of life so that they can live victorious lives. This happens through a bible week that runs every third week of the month for three consecutive days.
The New Season Kesha
The new season Kesha every first Friday of the month provides an opportunity for people who want to seek a deeper walk with Jesus Christ and experience God in a greater way. The consistent emphasis of this night vigil has been “Getting personal with God”.
The home cells have been forums of encouragement and accountability among members. They have also served as platforms to penetrate communities and estates. Through the home cells, many members have received encouragement, opportunity for growth and the support needed to stay on the course and track of faith and destiny.
“WALK IN LOVE”
Therefore be imitators of God as dear children. And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma.
